Votive pillars
Votive pillars are a witness of the strong
religious sentiment of this territory.
Most of these are privates, every family
who believed to have received a grace,
built or got to build one of these.
Then the pillars were decorated with paintings
and dedications to the saint they wanted to thank.
Votive pillars were built whether into
the little villages, close to the house of customer family,
or along the most frequented paths or in the intersections of different paths.
